Tiffani is a native of Los Angeles, California and was raised in Dallas, Texas. She is a proud alumna of the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!) and attended the University of Texas Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. During medical school, she aimed to blend her education and service with her passion for environmental justice and health disparities. Her PhD dissertation was on the influence of arsenic in the drinking water and how it can disrupt the inflammatory response in urothelial cells to injure the bladder. She also served for many years on the Board of Directors of the Student National Medical Association, acting as National Chairperson of the Board during her final year of medical school. She is proud to become a Med-Peds physician at UM/JMH because she feels it is the perfect path in becoming a clinician-scientist that uses evidence-based medicine and molecular data to advocate for marginalized populations at risk for devastating environmental exposures. In her free time, she loves, LOVES the beach, appreciates the beat of the Bachata, and is an unapologetic Trekkie.
